Diwali was celebrated across the country on October 20. On the occasion of Diwali, people from Srinagar to Kanyakumari lit up their homes, temples, and offices with lamps and lights. After Ganesh and Lakshmi Puja, people burst firecrackers.

Diwali was celebrated in Kolkata's pandals by performing Kali Puja. Soldiers deployed on the India-Bangladesh border decorated the border fences with candles. Meanwhile, 'Operation Sindoor' was written with lamps at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. Students of Shri Samarth Vyayam Mandir in Mumbai performed Mallakhamb.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended Diwali greetings, saying that we should all work together so that every person, regardless of their religion or place, can live in peace and participate in the country's progress.
