The gunshot victim in a Portsmouth shooting Oct. 8 has died from her injuries, according to a press relase from the Portsmouth Police Department.

The gunshot victim was 50-year-old Latesha Nicole Pugh.

The Oct. 8 shooting took place in the 300 block of Choate Street, which is off of Interstate 264.

Initially, the suspect, Lamont Eugene Stevenson, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, shooting within a building, shooting in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon.
