The city of Glendale spent almost $500,000 on public safety and operational elements of the Charlie Kirk memorial service Sept. 21 in State Farm Stadium.

Deputy City Manager Rick St. John stated that the city spent that amount on fire personnel, ambulance costs, transportation personnel, barricade costs, police resources and personnel. The event filled the stadium and an overflow crowd went into nearby .
