YOUNGSTOWN Leaders of Youngstown City Schools met on Monday to give their "State of the School" address.

The aim of the address was to outline the latest updates on the district's plans, progress and future goals.

Youngstown City Schools CEO Jeremy Batchelor shared plans to unify and strengthen the district during the meeting.

"Over the last three years, we have seen tremendous, tremendous growth. Are we where we want to be? Absolutely not. But, I need to point out some of the strengths so that this community understands where we are," said Batchelor.

Graduation rate was discussed, with Batchelor saying that it is trending in an upward direction.
