Why Seahawks didn't earn a safety on sack of Texans QB C.J. Stroud

The Seattle Seahawks made the first massive play of Monday Night Football in Week 7 against the Houston Texans .

Pass rusher Uchenna Nwosu chased quarterback C.J. Stroud all the way back to his goal line.

In the end, Nwosu brought down Stroud right on the verge of the end zone.

The white cap referee behind the play put his hands together for a safety.

The officials along the sideline, though, ran in to spot the ball just outside the end zone.

After discussion, the Seahawks weren't allowed to challenge as the referee ruled the ball just outside the end zone for no safety.
