GREENFIELD, Indiana — Opening statements were heard Monday afternoon in a Hancock County Courtroom in a hit-and-run crash case that left a teen boy with a severe brain injury.

Aaron Magee of Knightstown is charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in catastrophic injury.

Jasper Young was 13 years old in June 2023 when he was hit on his bicycle on State Road 109 in Wilkinson. He suffered a severe brain injury and broke his pelvis, ribs and vertebrae and spent six months in a rehab facility in Chicago learning to walk and talk again.
