PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Plans for the new Hurricane Middle School are now in the design phase.

During Monday night’s Putnam County Board of Education meeting, the board gave an update for the next steps.

A design submission will be due next Monday, and floor plans will be converted over in computer drawings.

Another concern for the community was the possibility of congested traffic. The board said a traffic study is being completed and will be finished by the first part of December.
