ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rock Valley College's RAISE program continues to support students with disabilities by offering life and career skills through a two-semester course.

The program, now in its fifteenth year, provides college students with essential life skills and academic growth opportunities. An open house was held at the school's student center to introduce prospective students to the program.

"I mean it's really amazing to see students come in from high school and kind of feel a little unsure what all this is gonna look like and before long they're getting involved in campus activities," said RAISE program coordinator Kara Anderson.

During the open house, students had the chance to meet with staff, ask questions, and learn about enrolling in upcoming semesters.
