FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WKOW) — On Monday, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a 911 call about a house fire at N4861 CTH V. The caller reported smoke coming from her the roof, with two children and a dog inside.

Everyone evacuated safely before emergency teams arrived. Firefighters found the blaze in the attic, caused by burning insulation, and quickly extinguished it. Damage was minimal, and no injuries were reported.

Officials say the fire likely started from an aging electrical system. The resident said there was a sudden light outage and a burning smell. The investigation is ongoing.
