An “incident” involving a youth hockey team in Red Deer on Oct. 11 is being investigated by Mounties.

The investigation — led by Red Deer RCMP — is in its early stages, so authorities were unable to provide further details Monday.

“We would ask the public to refrain from commenting or speculating online as to what occurred until Red Deer RCMP is fully aware of the facts,” read a statement from an RCMP spokesperson.
