SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – It was a costly mistake that a man says ruined his life. Now, the City of Santa Fe and the state are paying him more than half a million dollars.

It was a wrong-way chase down I-25 in Santa Fe in 2022 that ended with two people dead. The woman responsible, Jeannine Jaramillo, told police she had been kidnapped by a man named Mark Lopez.
