TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of Arizona on Monday rejected President Donald Trump's deal offering priority federal funding in exchange for sticking to the Trump agenda.
U of A joined at least a half dozen other universities in saying no to Trump by Monday's deadline.
So far Trump has no takers among 13 universities for what his administration calls the "Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education."
Here's some of what Trump wants from the schools:
Protect conservative ideas
Freeze tuition for 5 years
Ban consideration of race or sex in hiring and admissions
Restrict employees' political expression
Limit foreign student enrollment to 15%
