Ilove this time of year. Halloween reminds me of the good kind of scary. When I was a kid, fear was clean and simple. It lived in that long and thrilling moment between turning off the light and racing to the bed. It looked like the wolf in The Neverending Story or the creepy alien on the cover of Whitley Strieber's Communion . It was the sound of a branch at the window or a creak in the hallway.
