Bazardo gave up the game-winning three-run homer to George Springer that sent the Blue Jays to the World Series for the first time in 32 years with a 4-3 win over Seattle in Game 7 on Monday night. With two men on and one out with the Mariners leading, 3-1, in the seventh, Bazardo relieved starter Bryan Woo and left a 96 mph sinker over the plate for Springer, who launched it 381 feet into the Rogers Centre stands .
