Rishabh Pant's comeback date has been confirmed. The wicketkeeper-batter will lead India A in two four-day matches against a visiting South Africa A side ahead of the much-anticipated Test series between India and South Africa. Sai Sudharsan has been named vice-captain of the India A squad, which also features several Test regulars.
India A will play both four-day matches at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The first match begins on October 30, followed by the second on November 6 at the same venue.
Pant has been out of action since suffering a foot fracture during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in July earlier this year. The wicketkeeper-batter consequently missed the home Test series against the West Indies as well as the white-ball tour of Australia.
