Lake Macquarie racer Paul Wood is determined to make his mark at this month’s Street Machine Drag Challenge.
The Valentine local will return for his fourth tilt at the event, in the Kemppi Radial Aspirated class, across South Australia and Victoria from Wednesday 29 October to Sunday 2 November.
More than 280 street-registered cars are set to compete at a different strip each day before driving hundreds of kilometres to the next under their own power.
That means no trailers, no support and no excuses.
It’s one of the toughest competitions in the country, combining drag racing with punishing road legs that leave no room for weak links.
