OWEN-WITHEE – A historic effort on the ground in the 2024 8-player state championship game helped lead Owen-Withee to its first-ever 8-player title in 2024.

Behind Mason Gay’s record-breaking performance, which included over 200 rushing yards in the first half, the Blackhawks brand of smash-mouth football led to a decisive victory over Lena/Saint Thomas Aquinas to claim gold.

Not much has changed in 2025, as the Blackhawks opened their pursuit for back-to-back state titles with a statement on the ground in their win over Almond-Bancroft to advance to the second level of the postseason.
