Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service has issued an update after a massive industrial estate blaze that occupied crews for 15 hours. Emergency services were called to the scene on Shipston Road shortly before midnight on Friday (17 Oct).

According to reports on social media, popping and explosions were heard in the night by residents and passing motorists. The cause of the fire has not been revealed at this point.

"At 23:50 on Friday 17 October, Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service was alerted to reports of a large fire at a commercial unit on Shipston Road, Preston-on-Stour," a Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told Coventry Live.
