RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- With just a few weeks until Virginians take to the ballot box, the Democratic National Convention (DNC) is making a significant investment in Virginia Democrats' "Get Out The Vote" efforts.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Virginia voters will make several important decisions, including who they want to lead the state for the next few years. The offices of the governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general are all on the ballot.
In an Oct. 20 press release exclusively shared with 8News, the DNC announced that it will be making a "six-figure organizing investment" into Virginia, with these dollars to be funnelled into "on-the-ground voter contact efforts in the final stretch" of the election season.
