Dre Greenlaw has been suspended by the NFL.

The Denver Broncos linebacker landed himself in trouble after the Broncos pulled off a stunning 33-32 upset over the New York Giants in Week 7.

As the Broncos contingent stormed onto the field to celebrate the team's miraculous comeback victory, Greenlaw, who made his season debut - and his first in the orange and navy uniform of Denver - could be seen chasing down referee Brad Allen.

He was shown berating Allen and yelling at him, which resulted in the referee throwing a flag after the contest had ended.

In the win, the 28-year-old had six total tackles, including a quarterback hit.

But the NFL reported that Greenlaw had chased down Allen and "verbally threatened him as he tried to leave the field," as reported by NFL insider Ian R
