Newcastle assistant boss Graeme Jones could be set for a swift reunion with Alexander Isak at Sweden.

The 55-year-old - a joint assistant to Eddie Howe alongside Jason Tindall at St James' Park - is reportedly being eyed up to be part of Graham Potter's backroom staff.

Potter was announced as Sweden's new manager on Monday - less than a month after his sacking at West Ham .

He has agreed a short-term deal at the Strawberry Arena until March, where he will oversee their final two World Cup qualifiers.

Should he manage to seal what appears to be an unlikely second placed spot in Group B, he will be in charge for the play-offs.

And if they manage to win that, Potter 's contract will be automatically extended for him to be at the dugout in next summer's World Cup. 'Graham Potter
