Diverse Lineup to Showcase Rising Filmmakers and Underrepresented Voices

The Micheaux Film Festival will return to Culver City later this month for four days of screenings and programming, bringing dozens of premieres and emerging filmmakers to The Culver Theater.

Now in its seventh year, the festival will run from Thursday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Oct. 26, at 9500 Culver Blvd. Organizers say this year’s lineup includes 36 world premieres across both short-form and feature-length projects.

Founded by Courtney L. Branch and Noel Braham, the festival was established as a tribute to trailblazing filmmaker Oscar Micheaux and is designed to spotlight innovation, representation, and new voices within independent cinema.
