Get ready for rollercoaster temperatures this week.

A morning cold front is bringing a gusty north wind to DFW. This wind will lead to an elevated grass-fire danger for all of North Texas today.

As far as temperatures are concerned, today’s high will be around 80 (which is about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday). Tonight into Wednesday morning it will be chilly with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Pleasant weather can be expected Wednesday and Thursday. The next chance of rain arrives Thursday evening and more likely Friday and Saturday as an upper-level storm system approaches the area. This weather system could bring multiple rounds showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. The rain could be widespread and heavy. Stay tuned!
