DES MOINES, Iowa —

It is a cool and windy morning with breezy winds and feel like temps mainly in the 40s with even some 30s to the north.

The winds will strengthen through the morning with the strongest winds through the 10am to 6pm timeframe. Sustained winds will be around 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 40mph for most of the state. Northern Iowa will have a chance for 45mph gusts which is why a Wind Advisory will be in effect today for areas along and north of highway 20. Highs will be in the 50s and 40s across the state with colder temperatures Wednesday morning.
