CLEVELAND (WJW) - The FOX 8 I-Team has uncovered what police say really happened when a local teen was shot to death.

Police and prosecutors now blame the death of a 16-year-old on what police call "friendly fire."

Last month, Valley Forge High School junior Aniaz Paradiso was shot and killed. A few days after his murder, police charged a 35-year-old man, but now investigators have dropped those charges.

Police now say the teen was shot in the face by some friends as they got into a shootout with the 35-year-old man.

The shooting happened near West 130th and Lorain.
