ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Monitoring teen social media accounts just got a little easier. Meta has recently introduced a range of new initiatives aimed at improving the oversight of teen users.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has announced major changes designed to give parents and educators a larger role in protecting teen users.

Over the past month, the social media giant has rolled out a comprehensive list of upgraded safety features for teen accounts. These include filtering content that does not meet a PG-13 rating and launching a school partnership program that gives educators faster response times when reporting potential safety concerns involving their students.
