As you may have heard, a crew of four thieves hit the world-famous Louvre Museum in Paris on Sunday , boosting eight pieces of priceless Napoleonic jewelry from the museum’s Apollo gallery in a daring daylight raid. Posing as balaclava-masked construction workers, the thieves struck soon after the museum opened, using a basket-lift vehicle to break through a balcony window on the back side of the museum. Once inside, they used battery-powered disc cutters to gain access to two display cases and grab some of the French crown jewels inside. Then they escaped on scooters and are still at large.
