Wortham will celebrate its Homecoming on October 24th-25th with a variety of traditional events and festive activities that honor returning and current students and celebrate a historic milestone for the school and community.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Wortham Ex-Students Association. Sixteen former students met at the school in 1945 and held the first meeting of the Wortham Ex-Students Association. These individuals felt such loyalty, and they wanted to give back to their beloved school and community. The organization’s purpose was to create a Homecoming event for students to return to each year. They also created a scholarship that is still given to graduating seniors today.
