CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) - Clemson football wide receiver Bryant Wesco will miss the rest of his sophomore season with a back injury.
Head coach Dabo Swinney provided the update Monday after Wesco was hospitalized following an awkward landing in the Tigers' loss to SMU Saturday.
The injury occurred when Wesco was hit low while fielding a punt in the third quarter, causing him to flip high in the air and land awkwardly on his neck.
In a postgame press conference, Swinney described it as a "serious" injury and revealed the receiver was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
