Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has once again raised concerns about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's health and fitness to lead Bihar. He shared a video from a recent rally on X, questioning Kumar's condition. In his post, Tejashwi stated, "If the chief minister is healthy, then why is he acting like this while reading a written speech?"
The video shows Nitish Kumar struggling to garland BJP candidate Rama Nishad during the rally. JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha intervened, and Kumar eventually placed the garland around Nishad's neck himself. In a moment of frustration, Nitish remarked to Jha, "Gazab aadmi hai."
During the same rally, Nitish Kumar criticized his political rival, Lalu Prasad Yadav, accusing him of neglecting women's issues during his tenure. He pointed out that Yadav had appointed his wife, Rabri Devi, as chief minister when he had to resign due to the fodder scam. Nitish emphasized, "Some people only cared about their own wives or their own families, but we work for the benefit of all people," highlighting his government's efforts for women's empowerment over the past seven years.
Tejashwi Yadav has intensified his attacks on Nitish as the Assembly elections approach. He previously questioned the chief minister's mental state, asking, "How does it feel to see the chief minister of a state in such a pathetic condition? Does the honourable chief minister appear mentally healthy to you while engaging in such bizarre antics?" He further alleged that Nitish's party is a "special pawn of the BJP" and suggested that they may have contributed to his current state by feeding him certain foods.
With the elections nearing, Tejashwi's criticisms aim to raise doubts about Nitish Kumar's capability to govern effectively.
