The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County resumed decreasing Tuesday, dropping 1.3 cents to $4.665, one day after a run of 11 decreases in 12 days totaling 5.2 cents ended with an increase of one-tenth of a cent.
The average price is 4.4 cents less than one week ago and 7.1 cents lower than one month ago but 8.6 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has decreased $1.828 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also resumed decreasing, dropping 2 cents to $4.622, one day after a six-day streak of decreases totaling 4.4 cents ended when it was unchanged. It is 5.1 cents less than one week ago and 8.5 cents lower than one month ago
