A United States solider from South Jersey died Oct. 18 while training in Germany.

Sgt. Terell Seales of Florence in Burlington County was training at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels when a vehicle accident occurred. Seales died as the result of wounds from the incident.

Seales, who was 34, was a motor transport operator assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team “Strike,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

“Sgt. Seales was an exceptional leader and soldier who inspired others to give their very best,” said Col. Duke Reim, commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team “Strike.”

Seales joined the U.S. Army in 2021, serving in New York, Texas and, most recently, Kentucky. He also graduated the Army Basic Leader Course.
