LOS ANGELES, California —Veteran actor John Stamos publicly defended his longtime friend and former TV wife Lori Loughlin, leaning on a new podcast appearance to place responsibility for her role in the 2019 college admissions scandal squarely on her estranged husband Mossimo Giannulli, Entertainment Weekly reported .

According to Cosmopolitan , Stamos, 62, made his remarks on the “Good Guys” podcast Monday, describing Loughlin as “a saint” and saying she did not deserve the harsh public scrutiny she’s endured.
