The Warm Home Discount Scheme is due to reopen within days, perfectly timed as temperatures begin to drop. According to Gov.uk, it will launch at the end of October. This year, one-off payments of £150 will help millions of UK households nationwide, as many continue to battle rising energy costs.
Energy suppliers, including Octopus, British Gas, Ovo, E.on and Scottish Power, manage the scheme, with Ofgem acting as the regulatory authority. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) also plays a role, primarily by determining who qualifies for the £150.
