Hyderabad: To manage the festive rush of passengers, the South Central Railway (SCR) has operated 1,010 regular and festival special trains between September 21 and October 20 this year, marking a 47 per cent rise compared to the previous year.
Addressing the media at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad, on Tuesday, SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava said Indian Railways has planned over 12,000 special trains nationwide during Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja, of which 973 belong to SCR. Around 4.8 crore passengers
