A Lakeville man was killed and two people were hospitalized after a fiery crash in Lakeville on Saturday evening, officials said.

Around 7 p.m., police and firefighters responded to reports of a crash involving two vehicles on near 164 County Rd., according to a statement released by the Lakeville Police Department.

Upon arrival, first responders found one of the vehicles in flames and the other with heavy damage, according to a separate statement released by the Lakeville Fire Department.

The driver of the burning vehicle, a 66-year-old man from Lakeville, was pulled from the blaze by a group of bystanders before first responders arrived, officials said. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died, officials said.
