Most of the time, if a high school softball team scores only five runs combined in a playoff doubleheader, it would be assumed that its season — and the careers of its seniors — had come to an end.

However, when that team has a pitcher like Jada Savage, anything is possible. The East Coweta softball team found that out firsthand Monday night at home in Sharpsburg.

The Lady Indians swept both ends of their Class AAAAAA State Fast Pitch Softball Playoffs twin bill, riding the arm of Savage, their senior flamethrower. They eliminated Cherokee by final scores of 3-0 in Game 1 and 2-0 in Game 2.
