LIBERTY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police have shared more details regarding a law enforcement response outside Liberty High School on Tuesday morning.

Around 9:05 a.m. on Oct. 21, a Liberty High School resource officer was patrolling the parking lot and saw a “suspicious” person, later determined to be a juvenile, standing near some cars.

According to the Liberty Police Department, the officer tried to talk to the juvenile, but they resisted being detained. As the officer called for backup, the suspect broke loose and ran away.

In response, several surrounding agencies were called for help.

About ten minutes later, officers found the juvenile at a nearby restaurant and took them into custody.
