Rory McIlroy is hoping that starting the 2026 season with some big performances in the United Arab Emirates will help him replicate his remarkable success this year after signing up for the second edition of the Dubai Invitational in January.

The World No.2 has had a sensational year, finally completing the Grand Slam by winning the Masters at Augusta and helping Europe to retain the Ryder Cup at Bethpage last month.

As well as those headline successes, McIlroy also lifted his home Amgen Irish Open title at the start of last month having begun his year by winning a second Players Championship and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
