CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY)-- A man was sentence after pleading guilty to child pornography in Chesapeake.

43-year-old Dean Klama was sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to the felony crimes of production and reproduction of child pornography. He must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life and have no contact with the known victims or any other child.

Officials say the offenses occurred from April 2024 through September 2024 in the Western Branch part of the city. In September 2024, Chesapeake Police were notified of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) that was connected to Klama's IP address.
