STARKE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Starke County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the area of Range Road and C.R. 250 N. Sunday morning for a single-vehicle crash.

The initial investigation determined a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling south on Range Road north of C.R. 250 N., when it left the road, striking several trees.

Deputies found the vehicle unoccupied.

Authorities then contacted the Blazer's registered owner and learned the owner’s son, 18-year-old Logan Cooke of Walkerton, had been driving the wrecked vehicle.

Other individuals were contacted to find Cooke. Authorities and friends then conducted an area search.

During the search, an unoccupied residence with its door ajar was found on C.R. 250 N. just west of the crash.
