CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — West Texas A&M University McNair Scholars showcased their research topics of all kinds on Tuesday at their annual McNair Scholars Research Showcase.

According to WT officials, 14 McNair students displayed posters and discussed their research with other WT students, faculty, and staff. The showcase featured students preparing for graduate school, doctoral studies, and other scholarly activities within the program.

“The McNair Scholars program empowers students with the research skills and confidence to be successful in graduate school,” Salas said. “On average, 70 percent or more of each cohort enrolls in graduate school within a year of graduating from WT.”
