A boy has been charged after a hit-and-run collision claimed the life of a teenager in Staffordshire.

Alex Woodward, 17, was struck by a vehicle on Dawlish Drive, Bentilee, at about 6.05pm, on Friday October 17. He died the following day.

The boy, also aged 17, of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, who cannot be named legally because of his age, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road accident and failing to report an accident.
