EUGENE, Ore. -- An 18-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly pointing a gun at another person at a stoplight in Eugene, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said they responded at 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 20 to a report of a firearm-related incident that occurred at a red light at East 6th Avenue and High Street. A detective recognized the suspect's description and vehicle from a previous shooting incident on Sept. 17 at Candlelight Drive and Royal Avenue, police said. This information led officers to locate the suspect vehicle at a Stratford Street residence, where the suspect was detained without incident. Authorities said that multiple firearms and ammunition were seized as evidence.
