Nicky Devlin has backed Aberdeen match-winner Marko Lazetic to make his mark on the European stage, writes Anthony Evans from Athens . ‌

The Serbian forward got his first goal since his summer arrival from AC Milan by bagging a stunning solo effort in injury time to give the Dons all three points against St Mirren in Paisley last weekend. ‌

Lazetic has been a bright spark for Jimmy Thelin' s side in recent weeks and played a big part in the build-up to teammate Devlin's goal that almost sparked a late comeback in their thrilling 3-2 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk at Pittodrie on matchday one . ‌

And ahead of Thursday's tricky tie against AEK Athens in the Greek capital, Devlin reckons the calibre of fixture can bring the best out of the 21-year-old.
