OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announced an additional arrest on Tuesday in a drug round-up operation that began Oct. 1.

Officials said that the sheriff’s office obtained 35 warrants on 23 persons based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover officers. The narcotics purchased included fentanyl, methamphetamine and prescription medication.

Deputies said that as of 11 a.m., 14 persons have been arrested.

The most recent arrestee is 35-year-old William Issac McClain of Seneca, who was charged with distributing fentanyl. According to arrest warrants, McClain attempted to distribute fentanyl to an undercover deputy in 2024.
