An 18-year-old woman was injured during a firecracker incident in South Delhi's Lado Sarai area on Monday evening, coinciding with Diwali celebrations, according to police sources.

Family members of the woman allege that the incident was deliberate, claiming that some individuals intentionally hurled a firecracker at her, causing injury to her eye. She was promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Despite the family's assertions, a police officer reported that neither the woman nor her family has filed any formal allegations. The woman's condition was assessed, and no complaint has been registered with the authorities, the officer confirmed.
