US President Donald Trump on Tuesday reiterated his claim that he personally brokered the ceasefire between India and Pakistan during the May conflict, when Indian forces struck terror camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to avenge the killing of 26 civilians in Kashmir’s Pahalgam.

Trump said the confrontation, which followed Pakistan’s intervention on behalf of militant groups and heavy losses suffered by its forces during India’s Operation Sindoor, could have escalated into a full-scale nuclear war.
