A New York man who received a pardon from President Donald Trump for ransacking a desk in Congress during the Jan. 6 riot finds himself back in legal trouble after he allegedly threatened House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Christopher Moynihan, 34, stands accused of making a terroristic threat, according to the New York State Police . Troopers received a tip from the FBI on Saturday that Moynihan had threatened to kill a member of Congress.

CBS News received a copy of the criminal complaint that claimed Moynihan said in text messages that he planned to "eliminate" Jeffries.

"Hakeem Jeffries makes a speech in a few days in NYC I cannot allow this terrorist to live," Moynihan allegedly wrote.
