OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announced the launch of the Trespass Enforcement Authorization Program on Tuesday.

Under the voluntary program, a property owner can provide advance authorization for the sheriff’s office to enforce state trespass laws in unincorporated areas of the county.

Officials said that participants grant the sheriff’s office permission to enter the premises at any time to inspect, implement and enforce the trespass statute according to the designated times listed on the application. The sheriff’s office will also determine the number and placement of notices for an approved property.
